I came across an article looking for a project to make in my beginners Ceramic class. This article really touched me in a way that people have to live with every day in a third World country.
Fast becoming the stable of culinary delight in Haiti, the humble mudcakes has a resurgence
in international cusisine since the African famine in the 80's look what fills the acking tomies of the Hatians.

Well what can we say to people that are starving. The Mud cakes can be a staple here for all the homeless and unfortunate people that are living on our streets without a bit to eat. The Mud cakes is enjoying a resurgence in much demand in Haiti as food prices soar the only way to fill those awful hunger pains.
At only a few cents Haitians unable to afford basic food source and the U.N. backed aid distribution not working well for many of the Haitians that need it, mud cakes, are the only way to stave off hunger pains for so many.
When your family is in need, or your kids want to give you a hard time about nothing to eat .Time to serve up this Mud cake recipe.

Top-level comments on this article: (9 total)Hi Robert.Welcome to the Searchwarp Community!I have felt that hunger pain you mentioned in your article when I was growing up. A cup of rice, boiled with salt. Four ingredients: rice, water, salt and a prayer for a family of ten. Life has changed, not so much for material things but for a family that cared, loved and supported each other.Your article is brief and concise but you have delivered the message.Thank you.Best to you and yours,NenitaHi Nenita, Thanks for you comment. I think from your poem and comment you can see that fourth ingredient shining through. The rice, water, and salt feeds the body, and the fourth ingredient feeds the soul and made a complete family well feed. Thanks Robert!
